"The House is full of white feathers tending to fascism." Pirate Profant advocated same-sex marriage<

Pirate MP Ondřej Profant chose harsh words towards his parliamentary colleagues in connection with the discussion on same-sex marriage. According to him, the enforcement of its enactment is difficult, because the House is "full of conservative, white ferns", of which, according to Profant, a large part also tends towards fascism. A member of the Pirates expressed this in the debate within the LQBT festival Prague Pride.

In addition to Profant, other Prague candidates were invited to the pre-election debate on marriage for all within the Prague Pride, namely YES MP Patrik Nacher, Matěj Stropnický for Social Democrats and Communist MP Jiří Dolejš.

The professor spoke here about the fact that it is quite difficult to enforce the enactment of same-sex marriages in today's Chamber of Deputies. The reason is said to be quite simple, as the House is "full of conservative, white ferns and a large part of them are inclined to fascism."

„Sněmovna je plná bílejch páprdů inklinujících k fašismu.“ Pirát Profant obhajoval stejnopohlavní manželství

After its end, another participant, Nacher, also commented on the debate. He had complaints that opinions were being pushed too hard here. "I felt that they were pushing Matěj Stropnický as a politician who is gay into opinions he just doesn't have. Something in the sense that heterosexual Pirate Ondřej Profant knows better than Stropnický what gay Matěj Stropnický wants, "Nacher said on his Twitter.

Profant recently, together with YES MP Helena Válková, pushed through a proposal according to which women no longer have to change their names. He also mentions the possibility that they should decide on the misleading name of their children as well.

At the end of April, the Chamber of Deputies gave a chance to legalize marriage for same-sex couples. At the same time, she supported the proposed increase in marriage protection solely as a union between a man and a woman by constitutional enshrinement.

ODS, SPD and Tricolor deputies pushed for the rejection of the amendment to the Civil Code on gay marriage. The proposal received the support of 41 of the 93 Members present. The draft is thus discussed by the Constitutional-Legal and Social Committee.

The Pirates wanted to reject the protection of marriage as a union of a man and a woman by supplementing the constitutional charter of rights and freedoms. Their efforts won the votes of 30 of the 95 deputies present. The amendment was aimed at the Constitutional and Legal Committee and the Constitutional Commission.
