Is dad more of a critic or does he protect you? Sometimes maybe even bigger than myself. He likes to go to our football games, he enjoys it. On the other hand - as soon as one of us is not doing well, the mood is worse. There were weekends when I wanted to be happy at home, but my brother wasn't doing well, so I'd rather go out for five hours so that I didn't have to sit in the living room with my dad, because that would be very bad."

Do you joke with your brother or do you stick together?“When he left for Pilsen after certain problems in Strahov, our relationship deepened a lot. He left the barracks and suddenly I didn't see him every day, I didn't know how he was and what he was doing. I have to say that I really love him brotherly. When he fails, I experience it with him. It touches me. I guess there really is some energy between the twins.”

Who is the better soccer player?“Tough question. We are both different in character and as players. I now represent, my brother has more league starts. I'll give you a better answer when we end our careers or apply to the labor office."

How does your otherness manifest itself?“Whoever knows us knows that. My brother bet more on football. Even because of school. So I'm praying in quotes that he'll be more successful than me, because if God forbid something happens to me, I know I'll make a living in ways other than football. Or at least I try to.”

You say you are close to nature and are interested in improving the environment in general?

It's been enough for the last few months, you see?“I agree. A person is constantly pushing the saw, has some ambitions, but on the other hand, you need to realize that not everything will happen right away. It also puts you in stressful situations that are not immediately visible, but will affect you over time. I am the type of player who, if he is with the A team in Zlín on Saturday, is still interested in going to play for the B team in Prague on Sunday morning."

Isn't that extreme?“Sometimes I hear from coaches that less is sometimes more. I'm extreme about this. I spend my summer vacation in tennis shoes, or I walk in the mountains, where I walk several kilometers. It also happens now that I have weeks when I feel quite exhausted, but paradoxically, I should be in top shape, so I'm pulling it from the last moments."

In the summer, you admitted to the club website that you are revitalizing the former corner mine. How are you doing? "During covid, there was a lot of time when there was no playing. I used it precisely for my activities related to the revitalization of the former mine. Now I'm always commuting somewhere, I don't really stop anywhere, but I have a great dad who tries to understand me from this point of view as well. "

So have you convinced him that this is the right thing to do? "I sense that he too is going in this direction and is trying to make me happy by creating a pond himself or giving me news about planting fruit trees."

What about the club?“Everyone has their own hobby, and in the end, no one can care what I do in my free time. The most important thing is always that I help the team on the field. If I'm going to plant trees and play well at the same time, this is the ideal option. If I come home tired from the mine and play pencil in a match, I'll probably quit betting.”

Do your teammates pick on you for this?“Sometimes something flies here and there. Venca Drchal jokes with me that if I score a goal, he will buy seven trees and have them planted. On the contrary, Vojta Patrák from Béček tells me that if I annoy him, he will cut down everything and build a parking lot with a shopping mall there."

How did you get there?“In grammar school I was in a group of incredibly smart people and I had great teachers. I have always enjoyed school and education in general. I'm sorry that I'm not continuing to university now, because it wouldn't be possible to combine it with football in the way I would have imagined."

So it is a form of your relaxation and entertainment at the same time?“You can say yes. I don't like spending money on rags or the latest phones. For example, now I have a cell phone in my pocket, which hardly gets a signal these days. I did invest in trees. Perhaps it will be a returnable investment only in a few decades, when something can be carved out of it. I think a lot about the future. For example, I save for housing, which is basically the main issue in today's society."

At the age of 20, you appear to me to be such an atypical footballer... "That's exactly the difference compared to my brother. Šimon knows how to move in society, he enjoys social networks, he has his audience on them, he knows how to dress... I'm not much for this. I usually wear clothes after it. I'm always happy when she removes something from her wardrobe. Once they buy something, I know that in a few months I will have it too.”
