The Porsche 911 Turbo from the movie Mizerové is for sale<

Article

The star of the movie Mizerové is for sale. The Porsche 911 Turbo generation 964 is a car that at the time belonged to the top sports cars - a 3.6-liter supercharged flat six-cylinder produced 360 horsepower, accelerated to 100 in 4 seconds and was ranked by an honest five-speed manual. The 964 Turbo is also the last "turbine" to have a rear-wheel drive - the 911 Turbo of the next generation 993 already had permanent all-wheel drive as standard, so this 964 Turbo is in a way a classic.

Today, the Porsche 964 Turbo is well on its way to becoming a prized veteran - and this particular piece pays twice as much. Despite the year of production 1994, it is in excellent condition, it has driven only 34,396 miles, ie some 55,000 kilometers, and looks like new. Which is almost unbelievable, given that the film Mizerová was directed by Michael Bay, who in his films does not resist shots of slow-motion explosions of cars, robots or a combination of both.

This is also a Porsche 356, but even rarer

Porsche has perfectly renovated the iconic racer, type 962

Interestingly, even Bay himself owned the car. A few years after the end of filming, Porsche was bought from the director by film producer Pat Sandstone. Surprisingly, he sold the car to the current owner, who sold it to a private collector in 2008 to buy it back in 2014.

Since then, the car has participated in several shows of youngtimers and veterans, where he often collected laurels, mostly for first place. There is, of course, complete documentation for the vehicle, including a certificate of authenticity directly from Porsche. The second certificate is then from the filmmakers, who confirm that the car really appeared in the film Misers by director Michael Bay. In January 2020, the car also appeared at the premiere of the last part of "Miserable Forever".

The 1994 car is all the more rare, especially in the USA, as only 350 911 Turbo 964s with a 3.6-liter engine looked at the big puddle at the time. It is in its original condition on classic Speedline alloy wheels. it was often nicknamed the "whale tail". There is still an old cassette player in the interior! The air conditioning and the factory sunroof are fully functional. The equipment also includes the original tools - screwdrivers, wrenches, combination pliers - but just a pleasure to look at.

A classic of all classics? This Porsche 911 R from 1968!

Porsche 928 from the film Risky Business set an auction record

The auction house does not state an estimated price. However, the really nice pieces of the 964 Turbo with a 3.3-liter engine are around four million CZK. In the case of the version with a 3.6-liter engine, which is our case, it can easily be a million more. But what if we add to this specimen the glorious history, the unreal state and the incredibly low raid? Due to the large investment potential, the resulting amount can easily be seven digits.
