Zorka Hejdová: Maternity is greater to mystery than work on full time<

Plus twenty pounds and birth to punk

Let us return to pregnancy for a moment. How do you remember him?The first trimester was quite hard.I was troubled by nausea and migraines I have suffered since the age of thirteen have begun to deepen.Fortunately, this stopped from the second trimester. Then it was fine and I didn't even deal with how much I was gaining, although I had over twenty pounds upstairs.I had a huge belly, in the sixth month I seemed to be giving birth. The rest of the body went quite well.(laughter)

And how did the birth go?I remember him very nice.I wanted two things mainly to give birth at night because I am a night bird and I like the feeling that the world is sleeping around me.I have such inner peace. And then I wanted it to be fast. Both have come true.I started to give birth in the evening and the little one came into the world at half past one in the morning. On the day we went to check and there they told me that I was born long ago and where there are some contractions…

How much were you open?To four centimeters.I watched Netflix and came to laugh that I was just going to check.I had the ideal start, then stabbed me with water and things took a terribly fast slope.I spent most of the birth loaded in a warm bath with herbs, it was terribly pleasant. The birth itself, when I really had pain, took about an hour and a quarter. The last hour was hard, because the little one went out with his hand at the head, it was great pain, but it was so fast that I couldn't complain.

How much did you prepare for the birth in advance?I am probably extreme in this, because I did not prepare myself at all, unlike all my friends who attended courses and read books.I'm such a punk in this, I prefer to flow.In addition, I feel a little that the birth has been terribly dramatized lately. If the puerperium was given as much attention as childbirth, it would certainly be good.I am of the opinion that our body is ready for childbirth in a way, and I believed that I would know what to do on the spot, that I did not need any affirmations and breathing techniques. And it was.I knew exactly how to breathe, my body worked like a slot machine.I think we did it beautifully without preparation. In my opinion, it plays a role mainly in terms of psychological terms, and if some expectant mother needs it, it's great. But I didn't have the need.

Did you get you more intuition, or did you listen to midwives and doctors?Somehow both.I had an excellent midwife in Pilsen and the doctor was great, I felt great and very nice to take care of me.How to wellness before the right contractions started… I didn't choose a midwife in advance and found that we knew each other from the past, so it was really nice. She helped me very mentally, especially her inner peace.Although I had a relatively large injury after giving birth, I remember it very nice overall.

Was your husband with you at birth? The husband (moderator Míra Hejda, ed.) He was there all the time and had a terribly important role there. He said he thought he would be more quiet, but it was quite the opposite. He stood by my head, and I could listen to him for one moment. My doctor gave me some instructions and I was in my world and ignored him completely, but as soon as the same whispered to my ear, I listened to him.In the end, only he led me… Unlike him, I did not perceive the final phase where he was a little outside.I thought it would be like an American film, that tears of happiness were going to be, it happened, I was glad to live.(laughs) But they started my husband, and that was very nice.I perceived much more of his happiness and emotion than the act itself, that he is small in the world.

So can we say that your relationship has deepened?Certainly. He was with me all the time, he tried to make me laugh, we talked and encouraged me… It's probably very individual, every guy is different, so he can't say he is always at birth to benefit, but it was just great for us.
