A three-year-old child inside the house and the stove turned on. On Saturday, January 1, 2022, the firefighters of the HZS MSK from Hlučín in Bohuslavice were able to deal with this acute situation in an exemplary manner. Instead of destroying the security door, they found a clever way.

Considering that it was a security door with a high security class , the unit was unable to open them without damage. They conducted additional research to find another solution before proceeding with a destructive procedure."

Firefighters quickly found a more viable route. They managed to get into the garage through one of the windows and then quickly - with the consent of the owner present - dismantle the wall between the garage and the house.

Jakub Kozák, spokesman for the HZS MSK: "In the end, one of the intervening members skilfully reached through the created opening and unlocked the entrance door from the inside of the house. The owner then took the child and also ensured that the stove was turned off. The whole intervention took the firemen about half an hour. The firemen carry out a similar opening of closed spaces only if there is a threat to life or a serious threat to human health or there is a risk of high damage to property. It is usually possible to make the premises accessible without damage or with only minimal and easily solvable damage. The presence of the owner or a non-participant must always be ensured, and the intervention must also be informed by the Police of the Czech Republic."Watch also
