Aš plans to reconstruct the pool, open new in Ostrov already in the summer<

The Aš Town Hall will pay 2.42 million crowns under the contract for the project of modernization of the swimming pool, where experts are already working.This document will result in the expected price of reconstruction work.The real one comes from a tender for a contractor.

"It is already clear that it will be in the order of tens of millions of crowns," said AŠ spokesman Milan Vrbata, saying that the town hall will be looking for subsidies.

The swimming pool in Aš has been gradually upgrading for several years.According to Vrbaty, these are mostly investments that are needed to keep the pool in operation.

“For example, in 2009 she repaired and insulated the roof of the pool.In the autumn of 2012, Juming Heřmanův Městec made a replacement of the pool water treatment plant technology.In 2013, a sanitary facility was repaired in the men's part, a year later the premises reserved for women were reconstructed.In 2014, a solar system installed on the roof of the pool was also purchased and an outdoor area was connected to the interior pools.In 2016, central heating was repaired in the pool, ”Vrbata said the largest investment.

The forthcoming adjustments should also be directed towards savings.For example, underfloor heating has a rare form in the pool.The floor is heated by pipes that run under the ceilings of the cellar, so that the entire cellar space is comfortably heated at the same time.Also solar water heating systems are already lively.

“The town hall has no ambition to build a new aquaforum in Ashi, which are in the neighborhood of several.We want to adjust the pool especially for swimming and its teaching.It will be a modernization corresponding to current trends that will allow the operation of our pool for the next years, ”said Mayor Aš Dalibor Blažek.

Aš pool is one of the most popular sports grounds in the city.As the spokesman Milan Vrbata recalled, 53,000 people visited him every year before Covid.

The city will pay nearly 50 million crowns for work.Due to the price of the work, however, the town hall got into a cross with the supplier.He demanded an increase in the price of 2.8 million due to the increasing prices of building material.With this request the supplier did not come.

At the town hall, however, they are already making plans to modernize the complex in the coming years.Already next year they would like to build a new background of the swimming pool.The existing one will demolish the existing one before the start of this season."There is a new study on a new one, which includes sauna and wellness operation," said Deputy Mayor Marek Poledníček.Project documentation is now working.
