Children will pay for parents' election preferences.Pupils without a test at school do not take off the robe, and there is also considerable discrimination<

The Ministry of Health, in agreement with the Ministry of Education, finalized the conditions for the return of children to school after the summer holidays. Adam Vojtěch and Robert Plaga sent them to the founders of the schools and their directors. A fundamental step in keeping the coronavirus pandemic in the necessary intentions is supposed to be the antigen testing of pupils, within three fixed dates. Children who have not had covid 19 in the last 180 days or are not vaccinated should undergo tests on the first day of September, then on the 6th and 9th of the month. If they, or their parents, refuse the tests, they will have to wear a mask all day in the collective. Furthermore, they will have to keep a distance of 1.5 m from their classmates, they will not be allowed to participate in physical exercise in the indoor sports field and they will not sing in music education.

Let the children breathe freely

Is this government regulation discriminatory? Parents who do not send their children to tests are convinced of this. They don't like that because of this, their offspring should be at a disadvantage compared to other classmates. But how else to ensure a safe return to schools? These parents have a clear answer to that: "Children should breathe freely and the coronavirus pandemic should no longer be addressed at all," revealed čtidoma.cz the mother of 10-year-old student Ivoš, who fundamentally refuses testing. Minister Vojtěch responds to similar opinions by saying that last year it became clear how far the situation could escalate with the start of the school year without testing or the possible wearing of masks. "The current state of the coronavirus pandemic is relatively calm, but we can't rely on that," Health Minister Vojtěch said on the night broadcast of ČT 24, when he was a guest of the Události, comments program.

And he does not intend to back down from the set conditions even in areas where the test revealed only one infected person in 10 days. "It is simply not possible to set regulations or changes to pandemic measures according to cities or municipalities," Vojtěch defended blanket measures in the interview. With this statement, the Minister of Health made it clear to the naysayers of child testing that he will not give in to their pressure. And he doesn't even intend to deal with positive motivation, which might work better for angry parents than restrictions. "The fact that we want safe and functional schools for their children should be a positive motivation for parents. I'm definitely not planning any bonuses."

Responsibility transferred to parents

Children pay extra for their parents' electoral preferences. Pupils without a test at school they won't take off their mask, they will face significant discrimination

Teachers also fear the exclusion of children from the collective who do not pass the tests. However, due to the imposed restrictions, they cannot remove the "sticker of a student who is not safe for others" by themselves. Little children will therefore be segregated, although it may seem far-fetched, and it may have a direct effect on their psyche. Especially after returning from vacation, when they spent two months away from their familiar team. Therefore, only their closest relatives - parents - can help them. And the fact that they lean towards certain political directions should not dominate their decision-making. Especially if it is only the first ten days of the school year - Adam Vojtěch and Robert Plaga have personally guaranteed that if the results at the schools turn out to be satisfactory, there will be no further testing and children will not have to sit in desks or with mouth and nose protection.

Who do the naysayers vote for?

And to which political groups do parents who refuse to test their children tend? First and foremost, they are supporters of the Free Bloc, which downplays the coronavirus pandemic and calls for freedom for children even in election slogans. "I don't want vaccination, I don't want any restrictions and conditions. I live a healthy life not only for myself, but also for my children, we have healthy immunity and common sense and I am not afraid of covid. I want a life without restrictions for my children," added the mother of the boy Ivoš to čtidoma.cz, who is also limited by the government's pandemic restrictions in her business. She works with children and it really bothers her that she should demand tests from her clients.

Similarly tuned slogans can also be heard from SPD voters, who listen to the simple sentences of its chairman Tomio Okamura and loudly reject certain, albeit effective, discrimination against children. And the left-wing Tricolor or smaller parties from the more extremist spectrum, whose voters are against the rules as a matter of principle, are not far behind.

Pandemic? Pollert disagrees and criticizes

For children whose parents do not let them be tested, nothing but their parents' common sense will help them integrate into their friends after the holidays. And it certainly won't be Olympian and doctor in one Lukáš Pollert.

He tore out part of the answers from the interview with Adam Vojtěch: "Today's events and comments 17.8. Pandemic: the number of infected 1,600 per 100,000 inhabitants and now it is only 12, what do you think, Mr. Minister? The minister: "Yes, that's true, but the situation can change at any time, so we have to remain cautious" and tweeted them with the note: "Confirmed: Endless pandemic." Calling the current situation in the Czech Republic a pandemic is a purely statistical exaggeration. But criticizing the Minister of Health for being prudent at a time when last year's imprudence claimed more than 30,000 lives in this stressful period is down-to-earth and utterly simple. Especially from the position of a doctor.
