Although in a sense I understand all the cheap cars from this car company. Be it Dokker or Logan. What I really did not understand, just like the author of the test here. Why should I buy a Dacia Duster for CZK 400,000. Dokker makes sense as a cheap worker for the company. For example, construction. Even as a car for a courier service, for example, it can make sense. Just everywhere we want a new car just for less worries and any comfort comes second. First of all, it's about making this car last for us until we pay it off. And then others will replace him in a successful business. And so on and on. There's nothing wrong with that, that's what cars like this are made of. Dacia Logan. A relatively ugly car, where even manual air conditioning and front electric windows can be considered a luxury. Well, this car will justify all the compromises at least with the price. For some people, such as young families, or for example people on disability or other pensions, it may make sense. They are mostly people who don't have money to spare. They don't want to worry about more demanding repairs and they don't care much about cars. They have low annual mileage. Again, thanks to the low price tag, Logan can also make sense as a vehicle for, for example, a low-cost taxi company.

The sale of factory vehicles running on LPG is also a certain advantage. Because a cheap brand and savings just go well together. I could even imagine such a Dacia as a decent reference car. Yes, poor image, rather below average comfort. However, it will perform the service and last for the duration of the lease. As some pieces prove, they last longer than just some five years. If a person takes care of the car. However, the drop in value is huge for Dacia. Despite all that, I understand well. These cars make a certain sense to certain people and even companies.

We used to laugh at three-cylinders from VW in the much smaller Škoda Fabia of the first generation. By the way, it was also much cheaper in a similar configuration. And more technically advanced. Today, Dacia offers us with a calm heart this vacuum cleaner in an SUV that weighs almost 1,300 Kg. Unmanned by itself. Other poor parameters even for the year 1997 let alone 2019 crown the whole thing. High consumption and acceleration to a hundred in 12.5 seconds? Fortunately, I have not personally driven this car. Which is funny because pensioners in their 90s are already familiar with comfortable cars and things like automatic air conditioning and so on from their active lives. And the older ones have mostly already lost their driver's license or are already living with their Felicia.

And it is possible that even with used x-times more comfortable and less voracious diesels from the bazaar, you won't encounter any fatality after driving 100,000 km. They clearly drive the obligatory 20,000 km per year on average. Just like the majority of normal citizens who go to work, to Kaufland and to Croatia. Such people are said to buy Dacias. But it will have traveled a few thousand km and will still have a full warranty. Again with an interesting and equipped interior. The price will be the same as the Dacia, i.e. 400,000 CZK. However, one really feels that there will be a discipline in which the Duster will beat the last Focus. Hopefully it is 10 mm higher. Focus has heated steering wheel, seats, front window. And buy more equipment. An extended warranty of 120,000 Km is included. You get the latest model from Ford in sexy blue.

Of course, why squeeze a large family into a small hatchback. Maybe it would be better to get a station wagon. A plethora of brand-new Hyundai i30s with petrol engines, manuals and lots of comfort equipment are waiting for you in the ad. A one-year warranty car with low mileage for the price of a new Duster. The I30 scores points against the Duster with better interior variability and spaciousness. ABS, ESP, EBD, BA no they are not STD abbreviations. So far we have been among the cars outside the main Duster category. And that's why the Mazda CX3 arrives. With a two-liter engine with 121 horsepower. With poor equipment in the basic color with a manual, but for that in the warranty. I would say that if someone wants a car where there is nothing to break, then this is definitely a good place. Still, he gets a more comfortable, better built car. And what are we talking about, the starting equipment of this small crossover is basically at the level of the well-trodden Duster. It is probably not worth going into detail about who is better off with longevity and image. Again, you know my opinion on modern Mazdas, but this is simply a good offer for ordinary people for the year of production 2019. And I'd rather not write about a much nicer piece in Challange equipment somewhere in Karlovy Vary. It is true that it is already a reference car with some 20,000 km on its back, but the advantages still prevail.

If we wanted something more equipped with a 4x4 drive. There's a Mocha in the vending machine. Opinions differ on the appearance of this car. I have already heard that this is an ugly car. But let's be fair. Today's challenger is Duster, aka Duster. He didn't exactly take the beauty either. A two-year-old Opel Mokka AWD 1.4T will cost around 400,000 CZK. That doesn't look like any glory. But here we have a car with some 40,000 Km in basically full equipment. Including, for example, automatic transmission, automatic lighting, better safety features. What more could you wish for if I want to drive comfortably, get in comfortably and be able to work with the car as a friend. You may laugh, but I would much rather go to this Opel, even though it is used.

Once I wrote that a hundred times nothing is still NOTHING. It was in connection with the Kia Stonic. Yes, I don't like this carriage. It offers essentially the same as the test Duster. But when using financing, it is about 50,000 CZK cheaper. And it pays off all the more since it is a new car under warranty. We will not compare individual pieces of equipment, but let's say that this Stonic definitely has what is necessary for life on board. Although you probably won't use the TSA Trailer Stability Assist on a daily basis. It will be quite pleasing. Just like navigation. Of course, both cars can compete with each other in the quality of infotainment. Both variants are working. A Korean can probably do better. However, in my opinion, the interior of Stonic simply looks more valuable. And most importantly, the car doesn't blow into it and clearly the 1.4 with a hundred horses doesn't tear up the asphalt. Still, I think it competes with the Duster in full strength.

If we want an interesting external appearance. Reasonably designed interior space, warranty and the like. Here is the Fiat 500L. Demonstration piece registered for a few months. MPV category car. Probably an interesting choice for a family. In the CITY CROSS variant, it can certainly deal with some obstacle in the form of a ditch around the canal and the like. The equipment is rich and contains basically everything that is needed. The car is not at all insidious in terms of maintenance and is surprisingly comfortable.

Another SUV several tens of thousands below the price of an equipped Duster is the equally well-equipped C4 Picasso from 2017 with less than 60,000 Km. Yes, it really isn't a used car before death, especially since under the hood is a 1.6 blueHDi diesel with 120 horsepower and low fuel consumption. This relatively odd-looking family wagon isn't bad, and has received fairly positive reviews. A specific well-equipped piece can be purchased for 360,000 CZK. What do you get? Loads of equipment, economical engine with low running costs. But above all, a lot of space. The body of the MPV allows for easy entry and exit. The cost margin is low. Just the ideal family car. Which, in addition, not everyone has, and I think he can also go to the cottage.

If we thought that spacious cars and all kinds of crossovers are pointless. Then here is the Fiat Tipo. This car looks good from the outside in reasonable equipment. Inside, it is very comfortable and relatively spacious for its category. For CZK 355,000 you get a fully equipped car with infotainment from Maserati. Chrome handles and semi-leather seats. One hundred horses producing 1.4 may not dazzle, but you can live with it.

And at the very end, I kept the constant and benchmark of Czech families. It is, of course, the third-generation Škoda Octavia facelift, expected by everyone and incredibly charming. 150 hp from the 1.4 TSI may not look very appealing, but the car with this engine drives very well. I can already see a million comments about why the 1.4 TSI is bad and even those clever links to German forums where such and such Helmut complains about where, what. However, this is all nonsense. Up to some 160,000 Km, these cars can drive without any problems without any big surprises. There are usually pieces with 350,000 Km in use. Yes, a deduction piece without deduction, exactly one year old, costs 400,000 Czech crowns. However, the equipment, Style already offers everything that is customary in modern cars. The car still has a year of warranty service. Nobody doubts that Škoda infotainment is better than that of Dacia. You get automatic air conditioning with the Aircare function as an add-on. Solid driving characteristics and, above all, minimal drop in value. You can sell this car very well after leasing it. In the end, what Duster wins is probably just the fact that it is a little higher off the ground.

We should. I'd rather not go into detail about the Škoda Rapid, the new Civic, or even the Mitsubishi ASX. I deliberately chose only used and almost new cars here. If only we fell a little lower. In addition to the 2015/16 warranty, we could also buy things like a Ford Mondeo for 400,000 CZK. Some BMW 5 or Passat CC with a good two-liter TDI. Even the six-cylinder Hyundai Genesis with four-wheel drive. And of course there would be a Škoda Superb too. I really have no idea which target group Dacia Duster is supposed to attract in higher equipment. Apparently people who want to fool the evil car industry. Recruiting from the same waters as those who think that cheap versus more expensive things are in the brand. But money also buys quality, image, comfort and much more. So what more to add Go, DUSTER!
