His other great support not only in his personal life, but also in matches is his wife Iva and both sons who also play actively football and are part of the Lužany team.Unfortunately, the older son Vojtěch has long been discarded for his injuries, younger Jakub very successfully guarded the home goal.Both of them were also led from childhood to sport and their performances make parents happy.

Pavel Ponikelský never had his dream coaching model, there were several of the player, among the best known, for example, Italian striker Robero Baggio or one of the most famous and controversial footballers Eric Cantona.
