The proposal submitted by the government due to the covid-19 epidemic must now be signed by President Miloš Zeman.

The Senate approved that welfare applicants they will not have to go to the office in person

A similar law was already in force last spring and also in autumn. The measure was supposed to relieve the labor offices, which had a shortfall in the number of workers. A number of clerks and officials were on sick leave or in quarantine.

People who receive certain benefits must, in a normal situation, document their income and other facts to the employment offices every three months. The necessary documents must be delivered for the completed quarter by the end of the first month of the next quarter.

If they don't do this, aid payments from the state will stop. If they did not provide the confirmation even by the end of the given quarter, they would lose the benefit.
