The researchers then came to the unequivocal conclusion that "gender preference has a biological component that is reflected in both the production of body odors and the perception and response to body odors." In other words, gays and lesbians literally have a "smell" to each other and know each other safely among heterosexuals.

Odor signature and the smell of emotions

But other studies on the subject of "odor preferences" also point out (regardless of sexual preferences) that we each have our own specific odor signature. It is based primarily on genetics, but is influenced by a number of factors, including the current mood. Yes, emotions also smell. Or it stinks. For example, frustration or fear is felt for a hundred hunts and, along with other negative emotions, it literally stings. On the contrary, joy, happiness, good mood harmonize the personal scent in a pleasant way.

Even perfumes never completely overwhelm this scented signature, they can influence it to the maximum. That is why especially women change perfumes according to their mood.
