Nursing will also increase retroactively. Calculate how much you will receive<

Employees who stay at home and cannot work due to a closed school or a child's quarantine will no longer lose so much money. The senators definitively confirmed it today.

Nursing will rise from 60 to 80 percent of so-called reduced earnings. People who have been at home with their children since the beginning of November will also receive a supplement.

So the so-called crisis nursing school is returning, which worked practically the same this spring, but ended with the arrival of the summer holidays. Only formalities remain for the law to come into force: the president's signature and publication in the Collection of Laws.

How will nursing care increase when a child is closed and quarantined?

In the case of coronavirus, treatment rates will exceptionally increase from 60 to 80 percent of the so-called daily assessment base, which is simply a gross salary (with restrictions on higher incomes).

At the same time, each employee reaches at least the minimum amount of 400 crowns per day. Compared to the standard rules, parents with significantly below-average wages will thus improve, who would otherwise - despite an increase to 80% - receive a nursing allowance of less than 400 crowns per day.

In "normal" cases of illness, injury or other non-coronavirus-related treatment, the standard care rate remains at 60%.

How much does it do in your case? Here is the current nursing calculator. Below you will find answers to other frequently asked questions.

Since when will nursing care increase?

The increase will take place retroactively from November 1, this date is fixed by law. The supplement will come automatically for all November and December days when you drew nursing. It doesn't matter that, under standard conditions, it's over in the meantime.

The so-called crisis nursing school was approved by deputies on Wednesday, December 1, and senators confirmed it on December 15. Regardless of when it is signed by the president and when it is published in the Collection of Laws, the increase will retroactively also apply to the nursing allowance that arose before the adoption of the law (from 1 November).

How long can I take care of a closed school or quarantine?

Ošetřovné stoupne i zpětně. Spočítejte si, kolik vám přijde

Employees will be entitled to nursing care at a closed school (or similar facility) or quarantine for as long as they remain at home with the children. Exceptionally, therefore, the standard limit of a maximum of nine calendar days (sixteen for single people) does not apply.

How old can a child be drawn for nursing?

In principle, nursing can only be received for the care of children under the age of 10 - ie until the 10th birthday. The day of the application is decisive. Thus, the parents of a ten-year-old are no longer entitled if the treatment did not start before his 10th birthday.

Regardless of age, employees caring for a dependent child who is dependent on the help of another person at least level I, or a child with severe developmental behavioral disorders, multiple disabilities or autism, will also reach out to crisis nursing staff. It doesn't have to be just children. The law also provides for the care of disabled people after the possible closure of hospitals and other social services.

Do I get nursing even when working on a deal?

Yes. At the time of extraordinary measures, persons working on so-called agreements, ie an agreement on the performance of work or on work activities, will also be entitled to nursing allowances.

The condition is that the employer pays health insurance for them in a given month (or at least in the three calendar months immediately preceding the calendar month in which the need for care arose). In practice, this is a DPP with a monthly remuneration of over 10,000 crowns and a DPP with a remuneration of at least three thousand.

How can parents take turns in nursing?

When caring for a child due to a closed school or quarantine, parents (and other people, as we will write in a moment) will be able to change easily, even repeatedly. Replacement is not possible on one calendar day, otherwise there are no limits.

This is an exception to the standard rules, according to which parents can take turns only once during the entire period of receiving care.

Are grandmother, grandfather, aunt or uncle entitled to nursing care?

Yes.

The standard condition for entitlement to nursing allowance is that the person to whom the nursing or care is provided lives with the employee in the household. Exceptionally, this does not apply in the case of nursing or caring for a relative directly under the Civil Code and the employee's sibling, or nursing of the employee's spouse, registered partner, parents of the employee's spouse or registered partner.

Is nursing pay paid during the holidays?

No. Employees are not entitled to the payment of a crisis nursery during the school holidays and days off announced by the school principal during the school year.

Will self-employed persons and other self-employed persons also receive nursing care?

Yes - within the so-called compensation bonus, which we describe in detail in a separate article.
