When pediatricians arrived

In other episodes, a private pediatric surgery was added to the gynecology clinic in the fictional town of Kamenice, so viewers could also follow the stories of other heroes - doctor Béla Páleníková (Zlata Adamovská), doctors Prokop Hrubé ( Ondřej Sokol) and subsequently Tomáš Hruška (Jiří Langmajer) and sisters Zuzana (Veronika Gajerová), Markéta (Jitka Čvančarová) and Bobina (Miriam Kantorková).

"I didn't just invent the series characters, it's the merit of the whole team. But I find them really interesting and unconventional. I liked them so much that they became a part of my life, I even dream about them," said screenwriter Lucie Konečná at the time when the series was celebrating its first successes with viewers. She later left her work at the practice. Several creators participated in the scripts and direction.

The free sequel began writing its story on January 15, 2008 under the name Ordinace v rozá žádraten 2. The plot expanded to include the fates of the surgeons. "We told ourselves that change is life, but that at the same time we like to stick to our habits. We were thinking about how to revive the plot of the series, and at the same time ensure that it is still as attractive to the viewers," commented producer Šárka Baborovská on the new direction at the time.

From that time until today, a host of other actors have passed through this so-called "soap opera" (Jan Šťastný, Barbora Munzarová, Dana Morávková, Milan Bahúl, Markéta Plánová, Petr Štěpánek, Radim Fiala, Vlastimil Zavřel, Martin Trnavský, Jan Čenský , Jan Kanyza, Bára Štěpánová, Martin Zounar, Maroš Kramár, Martina Randová, Klára Cibulková or Robert Jašków).

On the other hand, some old well-known characters did not make it into the "two" due to their death in the "one", for example Dr. Gita Petrová.

The end of the legend

During the following twelve years, Ordinace built a reputation as a legend of Czech television production. Even so, Nova decided to close her filming. At the same time, it announced last year that it had invested tens of millions of crowns in the series in order to prepare even stronger screen experiences for the audience thanks to the new shooting technology.

"It's an emotional matter for us, most of us grew old with the series, it's hard to find any comparisons," said TV Nova production director Monika Hasmanová.

"But we are not saying the last word yet and we have a busy season planned that will bring countless dramatic situations, tension and loving moments in 2021," she added.

The Ordinance in the Rose Garden 2 has reached 8,900,000 Czechs since its inception, who spent a total of 730,000 minutes with it. He also has a number of awards (TýTý, ANNO, Elsa).

In the Office in the Rose Garden, Ivana Jirešová is one of the actors and actresses who have been associated with the series since its beginnings. In it, she portrays the smiling barmaid Lucia.

Do you think it was possible to guess that Ordinace would become a series phenomenon? No way! No one expected anything like this at the beginning of her filming. A few episodes were written and the series was to end.

How much did the series enter your life? It became a complete part of it. We were and still are such an amazing team that I feel right at home. Maybe the audience feels the well-being that is hidden behind the screen.

Now you know when the Ordinance in the Rose Garden ends. What feelings are you experiencing? I honestly can't even imagine it yet. How many times did it look like I wasn't going to shoot... So I was actually ready for it several times, but I always came back. I still have to breathe this final departure. But I believe that when something ends, something new begins.
