He's 25 years old and he's looking for people's forgotten billions from coupon privatization<

Daniel Surmař wants to give people back what has belonged to them for years. When he started researching the issue of coupon privatization, he immediately realized that there are definitely a lot of people who are entitled to property, but it is perhaps long forgotten in the family.

That is why he proposed the technological fintech project Forgotten Billions, which can quickly find out whether people have money lying around somewhere. He received an investment of 25 million crowns from the accelerator for his plan, even though the project will be short-term. It only runs until the beginning of October.

Daniel, what led you to create this project? How did you come up with this idea, where did the original idea come from?

The original idea arose about a year ago, when I came across articles on the Internet that were devoted to coupon privatization, and I was struck by the fact that more than ten billion crowns in shares and receivables belonging to hundreds of thousands are still lying idle somewhere Czechs. And I was amazed that after thirty years since coupon privatization was launched, no one has yet solved it. So I started to find out more information about how it happened, why it was still there and at that moment I was getting a kind of outline of an idea how to solve this problem. And since I am from the technology industry, of course I was already thinking about some simple online service at that time, where we would use modern technologies to find this forgotten valuable property from the coupon privatization and return it to the people to whom it belongs.

You say you have experience in the technology industry, but it's still securities. What experience do you personally have with the stock market and securities?

I am the father of an idea, which means that I always see a problem and look for a solution to solve it simply using technology.

Okay, but that doesn't answer my question. I'm wondering what your personal experience is with the stock market and securities?

For my age, I have less experience with the stock market and securities. On the other hand, I have a team of people around me who have been doing this for several years, have sufficient experience and professionalism.

You said "my age", how old are you if I may ask?

I am 25 years old.
