Special editions of LiS: True Colors offer an extra story - INDIAN<

Yesterday's unveiling of Life is Strange: True Colors by Deck Nine took place in style, but against the backdrop of the Square Enix Presents event, we saw a closer look at the content of the individual editions of the game. As is customary nowadays, one version for 60 euros is not enough, so the new addition to the Life is Strange series will also be available in the Deluxe and Ultimate editions. We dedicate a separate space to this fact, mainly because both more expensive editions of the game offer an extra story.

Specifically, this is a bonus story called Wavelengths, in which we play for Steph. You may already know this from Life is Strange: Before the Storm (just remember the opportunity to play a board game in the style of Dungeons & Dragons under her leadership), while it will also play a significant role in True Colors. In the new game, in the role of Alex Chen, we will be able to make friends with Steph and even establish a romantic relationship. In any case, Wavelengths takes place a year before Life is Strange: True Colors, more precisely the year before Alex appears in Haven Springs. By the way, according to the basic information about the game, it will be possible to browse Haven Springs completely freely, visit local shops and look for various secrets.

However, in the bonus story, we will visit the Rocky Mountain Record Traders store and KRCT radio. This is not the first time that a decision has been made to offer an extra story in the more expensive edition of the game from the Life is Strange series. Already in the Deluxe edition of Before the Storm, it was possible to find a bonus episode of Farewell, and this step received quite mixed reactions at the time. The episode focused on an important moment from the childhood of Max and Chloe, the main heroines of the first Life is Strange, so on the one hand the players had more material from the lives of their favorite characters, but on the other hand it was not right to offer such important content only as part of a more expensive edition of the game. But in Square Enix, they obviously didn't learn and try the same trick again. However, the creators emphasize that this time it will be a separate story.

Speciální edice LiS: True Colors nabídnou extra příběh - INDIAN

Both more expensive True Colors editions will also feature the Life is Strange Hero Outfit Pack, a pack of four suits inspired by other heroes from the Life is Strange series, including Max, Chloe, Sean and Daniel. In each chapter of the game, Alex will always have one of these suits at his disposal, which suggests that the story of the game will be divided into four episodes, although this time they will all come out at once as another reminder of the fact that the era of episodic titles is over. For pre-ordering any edition of the game, everyone will receive an Alex Outfit Pack, which will offer four more suits, again one for each chapter. In total, there are up to 24 sets of clothing available in Life is Strange: True Colors, so that everyone can customize Alex to their liking. In addition, the Alex Outfit Pack will be available for purchase after the game is released, as well as an upgrade to the Deluxe Edition.

If you purchase the most expensive Ultimate Edition, you will also get access to the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection, unveiled yesterday, featuring the games Life is Strange Remastered and Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered. And so that those suits, bonuses and pre-orders are not enough, you will also receive an extra suit for the pre-order of the remaster itself. Specifically, it will be the Zombie Crypt set that Chloe can wear in Before the Storm Remastered. After all, the original game doesn't offer a choice of clothes, and the remaster obviously won't change anything. Instead, it promises better animations and visuals of characters or environments, improved lighting and game engine, or the presence of the Farewell bonus episode and the Chloe Outfits package from the Deluxe edition of Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Developers are even tempted by updated and tuned puzzles.

Life is Strange: True Colors will be released on September 10 / September on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Stadii. Life is Strange Remastered and Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered are also aimed at the same platforms, but in their case only the autumn of 2021 is listed as the release date.
