T -shirts of the future?Successful Entrepreneurs from Chrudim produce caught clothing that you will not get dirty or swing<

Veronika Jirků,

Three friends, or ordinary guys from Chrudim, as they like to say about themselves, plunged into the production of unique T -shirts and shirts, which are not visible sweat, reduce the odor and do not even stain from wine.Simply put, gentlemen celebrate success with the production of seemingly ordinary pieces of clothing with extraordinary properties.

He does it and that again. And it works

Current production director Cityzen s.r.o.René Němeček had the intention in his head for about 20 years before he introduced him to his friends with beer."Of course we liked the idea," recalls his colleague Pavel Hrstka, who is headed by the company department.“Who would not fail a material that will not release any liquid, is not visible on it and is it still 100 % cotton? At that time, we all had our work and a family to do that, we only met at night and Cityzen was more of a hobby. We still had to pay the posts, so we worked mainly when the children slept, ”he adds.

The way to make clothes was very different for all three friends.René Němeček is a textile magician, graduated from the Faculty of Technology of the Technical University of Liberec in 1995 and knows everything about the processing of cotton. He is in charge of production and innovation in the company.Martin Burkoň is a businessman who has many years of experience in the state administration and took under his wings finance now a successful startup.Pavel Hrstka graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Liberec, but he is a trader of body and soul. The interconnection of all three boys works very much and it is reflected in the size of the company.A year ago, Cityzen had only one employee with a temporary worker, today there are over twenty.

Technology that remains in the Czech Republic

Beginning to produce quality, but not quite cheap clothing is nowadays full of pressure from suppliers from Asia very bold.“We certainly perceived the establishment of the company as a risk, mainly because we all had a great job that fed us well.We all have families, the more it was the decision to leave good jobs and start doing business harder. However, we believed our project and we also believed that it will offer not only Czechs, but also in the future to foreign customers, a product that no one else can produce.T -shirt, which is 100 % cotton, is not visible on it, does not smell, does not even let a drop when you pour water, and yet it is not a teflon carapace, no one except us, ”says Hrstka.

The whole technology has patented gentlemen, so it is only their own know-how.Currently, the current need for customers is playing into the cards who and where the T -shirt has made them and what it is behind its production. All this in the case of Cityzen takes place in the Czech Republic.

The owners believe that there are people who want to wear quality clothes and care about the overall ethics of the brand for which they like to pay extra.“We offer a product whose production is not the cheapest.Technology is very time consuming and expensive. The product is made in the Czech Republic for wages of Czech seamstresses and is so well processed that it will last for many years of wear.None of this can be said about textile imports, for example from China or Bangladesh, ”explains Hrstka. The production of one piece of shirt is relatively long in Cityzen, lasting six months."Good things want time," says the Sales Director.

The startup has a cotton yarn from Greece, the USA or Egypt. They then send it to the resulting knitted knit for dyeing and other adjustments.“At the end of the wet adjustment, we give the knitted unique features that we call Cityzen technology. After drying, the material is sinking into roles and sending it to the editing. The cut knitting then travels under the handy hands of our experienced seamstresses that sew the resulting product. This is followed by a thorough control of the reverse and facing sides, as they have different features, and after packing, the shirts go to the warehouse from which we send them to customers, ”adds a handful.

“Women buy the most because they buy for themselves, but also for their partners or dads. But in general, our customer is a person who likes to dress in quality clothing and knows that our products can greatly improve his life. The armpit cakes are not only unsightly, but also very unpleasant, ”describes a handful of customers of his company.

Within the age of four by the European number one

In 2019, the company won the title “Startup of the Year”.It has been operating on the market since May 2019, and has been thirty times to date.Of the three people, the company has grown to the current 25 office employees, 150 seamstresses and other manufacturing staff.Of course, the company is also struggling with problems, including the lack of raw materials, mostly high -quality long -fiber cotton, and the lack of women's tailors.

"It is sad that since the last seamstress came out of school, two years have passed and this field in the Czech Republic has been studying," a handful misses. However, it does not intend to change the high ambitions of its society. In the future, it plans a successful startup extension of the product portfolio and expansion abroad. In 2025, Cityzen would like to be the largest clothing manufacturer in Europe.
