Do you long for a racing Ferrari F40? You have the opportunity! - Garáž.cz<

Article

Ferrari F40. Does he need to introduce such a car? We don't think so. The "Effe Quaranta," as the Italians say, has so many supporters around the world that one would have to live in a cave for the last thirty-five years in order not to hear about it. And those of us who had her model, a poster above the bed or both, know even the most detailed attractions and spiciness. How could it not, because it is "Ephesian"!

It can't get any better, unless it's an extremely rare racing version, which is also the case. But you can't drive on a road with a race car. It just doesn't work! Or? The current owner of this racing F40 has made a few modifications so that the car can be approved for road use on (Japanese) roads. Nothing is written about the "sponsorship gift" or about acquaintances at the authorities, but you know it.

Sad ad: Will someone take over the rusted Ferrari 308 GT4?

This car is otherwise a thoroughbred racing version of the Ferrari F40 for the JGTC, or "Japanese Grand Touring Car Championship". In 1988, when the car was new, the owner was the Japanese racing team Taisan Japanese Auto Racing, in whose red-red "war colors" cars such as the Nissan Skyline GT-R, Porsche GT2 or Porsche 962 have changed over the years.

The car in the photos, which is currently for sale in Japan, is shown in its old racing color and racing specifications. This means a more powerful engine, Speedline racing wheels fitted with racing tires, "blinking" lights are replaced by conventional ones to reduce aerodynamic drag, the rear wing is modified for higher downforce and the interior has racing seats, a steering wheel and a protective cage. So there is everything that must not be missing in the racer.

The performance of that "more powerful" engine is a secret, but for example in the versions of GTE, which participated in, among other things, the endurance race Le Mans, the performance was said to reach up to seven hundred horses. In this case, therefore, we expect a very similar value.

Racing F40s were mostly prepared by Michelotto Automobili, and F40 engines used to have larger IHI turbochargers and more powerful intercoolers. Thus, combined with Weber-Marelli's improved injection molding, rumors of a more than 6,000 herd of horses under the hood can be considered real.

However, what we are talking about, performance is irrelevant in this case. This is F40. Racing F40, which can be used on public roads. In addition, it has a well-preserved (and relatively successful) racing history - the car also won several of its races. For example, the one on the Japanese Mine circuit, when it was brought to the first place by the crew of Oscar Larrauri and Tetsuya Ota.

The most expensive Ferrari F40? This special from Le Mans!

For sale is a very rare police Ferrari 250 GTE

The car boasts a mileage of only 13,854 kilometers, so it is barely covered. In addition, in addition to the uniqueness and racing history, it has the advantage of practically the original state, so the investment potential is almost guaranteed.

Does this have a mistake at all? One might be found - the BH Auctions auction house reluctantly publishes the value of the car, or even the estimated amount. So we really don't even know how many pigs we have to break. Does anyone here speak Japanese?
