"An implant as a tooth root replacement is the most elegant way to fill the gap after a missing tooth," says Dr. Zbyšek Petrovický, owner of the Medent dental clinic in Ústí nad Labem, focusing on implantology.

The implant is basically a surgical insertion of a titanium screw into the jaw bone, where the implant becomes the full basis of a new tooth. The implant remains hidden in the gums, while the visible part of the tooth is the crown. And if something happens to the artificial tooth, another can be screwed into the hole in the bone.

Why did you decide to do implantology? I like to see some tangible result for my work and at the same time I was fascinated by the complexity of this industry, when it is necessary to plan the procedure well in terms of quality and often aesthetics.
