During the first six months, children literally change before our eyes. How can you satisfy them and motivate them for healthy development?

1 month

Already with newborn babies, you can observe short moments when your newborn baby is awake, calm and has wide-open eyes. Be sure to take advantage of such moments, bend over to your baby, greet him with a slight head movement and a wide smile and talk to him. You will see that after a while he will catch your eye, follow you briefly and listen carefully. These are important moments when the baby and the parent experience mutual belonging together, which fills them with satisfaction and leads to the cultivation of an increasingly intense mutual loving bond.

2nd month

While in the first month of life you had to be content with only his attentive observation of your face when talking to your little one, during the second month of life the offspring will already reward you for the favor shown with a satisfied smile. Most children show their pleasant feelings when mom or dad talks to them when they are awake and calm. Don't forget that talking together is very important for the child's development even in the following months, when he will gradually learn to entertain himself with a suitable toy on his own.

3rd month

With age, the child's waking time increases and, at the same time, his motor skills improve, especially head holding and hand movements. During the third month, it is therefore appropriate to hang a toy above the chest of a baby lying on its back. Then you can observe that your little one touches the toy randomly at first, and as he moves his arms lively, he swings it. Before long, however, he will realize that it has rocked the toy itself and will bang on it on purpose. As he gradually gets better and better at controlling the movements of his hands, he learns not only to relate them towards the toy, but also to deliberately put them in his mouth and connect them, so that he then touches the other with one hand.

4th month

When the baby had the opportunity to reach for the toy that was suspended above him, during the fourth month he starts to grasp it with both hands and put it in the meringue. Definitely do not prevent him from doing this, because the mouth of our little ones is an important cognitive organ and sucking everything that comes into their hands is completely normal and necessary. Just pay attention to safety and hygiene! Some children are no longer satisfied with the position on their backs and start turning on their sides. If your child is more comfortable, encourage him to do this physical activity by playing on the floor or on the couch. Don't forget the position on your stomach, which is very healthy. The child should be satisfied and learn to reach for toys even in this position.

5th month

When babies lie on their backs in the fifth month, they raise their legs higher and higher. They start to reach for their kneecaps and some play with their toes, or even put them in their meringue. You can support such skills with various games with their legs, which you will accompany with simple rhythmic sayings. Children like such antics and various other games, and they even laugh and squeal loudly. Sometimes they can encourage you to start playing with them or keep playing with them by "yelling" themselves.

6th month

Previously, grasping toys or objects with both hands at the same time prevailed, now children already reach and grasp things with each hand separately. They can also take a different toy in each hand and hold them at the same time. The way of grasping is also evolving: the thumb tends to be in opposition to the other fingers, which allows for a better grip and finer handling of objects. It is therefore possible to tie various laces and bows to the toys, with which the children then play, or they can even randomly pull a distant toy. Children at six months already begin to understand that an object or a person who has suddenly disappeared from their view may still exist , and they start looking for things and people. It is therefore appropriate to include the popular game "kuk" in various variations.
