The system of vaccinating unregistered passers-by, which was launched in Prague last week, exceeded expectations.

In the shopping center in Prague in Chodov and at the main railway station, hourly queues of people began to form, and in Monday the third place in the shopping center in Smíchov was added in the metropolis.

The Ministry of Health will therefore expand similar centers to at least all regional cities. In most cases, the center will staff some of the teaching hospitals that fall under the state.

A new seat will open at the Nová Karolina Forum in Ostrava on Wednesday. On the ground floor of the mall, he will be vaccinated with a disposable Janssen vaccine from Johnson & Johnson, and the center will be operated by the Ostrava University Hospital. This will be followed by the center in Brno (from Wednesday at OC Olympia and from Thursday the Janáček Theater in the former Bohéma restaurant) and in Zlín (PSG Arena).

They are also preparing for next week in Hradec Králové. "We are looking for a suitable space. And following the example of Prague, it should again be a large shopping center, "the regional vaccination coordinator and former senator Jaroslav Malý described to the Deník reporter. The place has not been decided yet, the owners of the Hradec Králové OC Atrium would agree in advance.

Stamps first

The establishment of the vaccination center is accompanied by the administration. The future workplace must be approved by the regional hygiene as a temporary medical facility. "In Prague, they managed this wheel in 72 hours. And I think it should be similar in our country, “hopes Professor Malý. Some regions, such as Karlovarský or Plzeňský, will probably not set up separate workplaces in malls, but they will set days or hours in existing centers when people will go there "just like that". Centers for unregistered passers-by will continue to be a supplement for people who, for various reasons, do not want or are unable to register. These centers are not able to ensure greater vaccination of the population, as the data show. The center in the Chodov shopping center in Prague managed to vaccinate just over four thousand people during the whole week, and more than two thousand people at the main railway station. For comparison: the National Vaccination Center at the O2 Universum in Prague will "do" seven thousand people in a single day.

In addition, the vaccines administered differ in all non-registered sites that have been announced so far: The most common so far is (logically) single-dose Johnson & Johnson, followed by two-dose Pfizer and Moderna.

The number of coronavirus vaccines given since the start of vaccination in December has exceeded 9.6 million. At present, 4.3 million Czechs have completed complete vaccinations.

Pardubice Region: The Pardubice Region will vaccinate unregistered applicants inside the vaccination truck. He will park in front of Sokolovna in Pardubice in the week of July 26, and a week later he will be inside the Chrudim hospital for two days. The so-called dot, as announced by posters of other vaccination centers for people without registration, will get up to 150 people a day. Healthcare professionals will administer a single-dose Janssen vaccine from Johnson & Johnson in a vaccine truck. For the unregistered applicants, a thousand benefits have been prepared in the Pardubice Region for the time being, which arrived in the region at the beginning of the week.

Liberec Region: Vaccination of people without registration will start in the first half of August (most likely from Monday, August 9). The region is not planning any special place for this, but will use the existing large-capacity vaccination center in building D near the Regional Office of the Liberec Region. It will be vaccinated with Comirnaty vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech. "However, priority will still be given to those who have a valid registration," said regional office spokesman Filip Trdla.

Česká Lípa - Every working day from 19:30 to 20:30, any person can come to the premises of Česká Lípa Hospital without pre-registration for vaccination and wait in front of the vaccination center to see if one or more doses of the vaccine to be given are released on a given day. No registration or reservation in the reservatic system is required to use this offer.

Pilsen Region Interested parties will be able to get vaccinated against COVID-19 without prior registration. The county has now selected eight vaccination centers, where the vaccine will be available on Fridays 23 and 30 at 8-13 p.m. The large-capacity vaccination center in Pilsen also adds Saturday, July 24. "We have chosen the existing vaccination centers in order to comply with suitable conditions for storing vaccines and to maintain comfort for vaccinated and medical staff," says President Ilona Mauritzová. The region chose two dates so as not to disrupt the current vaccination system in the centers. "According to public interest, we will continue in August," the governor explained. In addition, the region, in cooperation with vaccination centers, sends mobile teams to less vaccinated villages. Registration will not be required here either.

South Bohemian Region Governor Martin Kuba has already made it known that he will probably partially release the capacity of one of the current vaccination centers for the unregistered region. But nothing has been decided yet. "We are still evaluating the options and considering them. We have not yet chosen a specific place, "said South Bohemian Governor Martin Kuba.

Zlín Region No registration is expected in Zlín in a large-capacity center in the PSG arena. "If those interested in vaccinations come and are not registered in advance, they have a special registration booth where the doctor will talk to them. And if they opt for the single-dose Janssen vaccine from Johnson & Johnson, they will continue to be vaccinated after consulting with a doctor, ”explained Jiří Lučan, the regional vaccination coordinator.

Karlovy Vary RegionWithout registration, vaccinations will take place in the existing vaccination center in the KV Arena of Karlovy Vary; In the KV Arena, the time for those interested in vaccination without registration will be set from 7 August 2021. Type of vaccine - subject to availability.

Central Bohemian RegionThe Central Bohemian Region is considering the introduction of vaccination without registration, probably according to the South Bohemian model, ie with the allocation of specific places and days or hours.
