Bartoš: We will not go to the government with YES without Babiš<

Bartoš: We will not go to the government with YES without Babiš

How have pirates changed in the House in four years? Are they bullshit already?

Not that. We have grown and acquired a huge amount of competencies. I see it in the work done and in the quality of media output. A huge professional team was created for individual ministries against the background of parliamentary work.

How have you changed? At the age of 23, you voted against joining the EU, at the age of 29, you accepted the Islamization of Europe.

At the time, I responded in an excited debate at a pirate forum to a man who bombarded me with racist questions. I wanted to say that I would like a world without borders. And a world without wars would be nice.

Even now, people look at me like Bartoš four years ago. But I am already 41 years old, I am married, I have a one-year-old son, experience from abroad, making laws and that mud in the field of ministries, state procurement. Ivan Bartoš

But even now, people look at me like Bartoš four years ago. But I am already 41 years old, I am married, I have a one-year-old son, experience from abroad, law-making and that mud in the area of ministries, state procurement.

Four years ago, you said you did not know how you would vote in a possible NATO referendum. Are you clear on that already?

That was a hypothetical question. Back in 2017, we issued an opinion defining the attitude of pirates towards NATO and the EU. I hope this is also seen in our foreign policy, we have a Vice-President of the European Parliament. That questioning our position is a sticker.

Your right-hand man, Mikuláš Ferjenčík, said that NATO's commitment to give two percent of GDP to defense should be spent on teachers' salaries. That doesn't sound very collegial to the Allies.

Nicholas is a pacifist and said it in a specific context. Six months ago, I talked to the Americans at NATO headquarters about the structure of future investments. In the case of small EU countries, this is not about buying heavy equipment. Wars have long been waged by other weapons.

I don't know much about PirStan. But we have to get rid of Babiš, it was said at the start of the campaign of the Coalition of the Parliamentary Elections

It should be about innovations, cyber security, in which the Czech Republic is very good. However, we are approaching a 2% commitment and we have it in the program.

Didn't you lose the rebel odor?

We do politics honestly and build it on data. If the problem is corruption, a dysfunctional system that is now riddled with Agrofert, you can get a label from the anti-system party. But we fulfill the ideas of liberal and parliamentary democracy one hundred percent.

If it's a rebel sign that he's not afraid, he's trying new things and moving on, then yes. We have 12 years of hard work and it has never been a toy for us.

But according to the latest survey, you are losing young voters. How do you explain that?

I would dispel the myth that we are a youth party. The core of the electorate was people between the ages of 25 and 45. They are working people, mostly with their families.

When we announced the coalition with STAN, we had the potential to win up to 30 percent of voters, which is basically the same, just the respondents are considered hesitant. About 30 percent of people are undecided now. We have set a target of 25 percent and we will achieve that.

Now the hot phase of the campaign and the pirates have become the target of the Czech disinformation scene, they are defended as Mr. Babiš's greatest enemy, who is not ashamed to lie about us in the plenary of the Chamber when he repeats Tomia Okamura's fictional quote that pirates want to move migrants pensions, tax people's flats, which we have never had in the program.

And you are not a migrant welcome?

We are not. We reject illegal migration and believe that aid should be targeted primarily at conflict areas.

Has the Prime Minister trained you on how the campaign is conducted?

We expected that, but it's hard to build an equally robust defense against a man who has unlimited resources, a prime minister with access to the media, of which he owns a third. But I think we defended ourselves.

And didn't the anti-campaign serve the purpose of focusing on refuting rumors at the expense of your own topics?

I do not think so. The most visible topic we are dealing with are two plans: a future without debt and a trillion for the Czech Republic. The topic of the state debt deficit and the possibility of a collision with the debt brake is the most important in the Czech Republic.

Fiala: I bet on one PirStanPodcasts card

In my opinion, everyone knows that we are dealing with education, how to set up investments so that the economy grows. We are the only party that takes the environment seriously, then there is economic transformation, European money.

And I'm still very worried that another wave of the new covid mutation will set in motion. The Prime Minister apparently is copying the autumn road before the regional elections, when he ignored all the experts' recommendations, and then we had 30,000 dead.

Surveys attribute around 20 percent to you, while in May you played the top with 27 percent. Isn't that a badly conceived campaign?

I know from the field that the campaign is working normally.

But your supporters have also criticized the campaign for being sluggish and invisible.

Bartoš: S ANO nepůjdeme do vlády ani bez Babiše

If the evaluation is based on two ridiculous pictures, where Olga Richterová with a teapot and Jakub Michálek with a lasso, how they hunt corrupt people, and then you read in all media for 14 days how the campaign is bad, then it is reflected in the perception of the pirate base and Mayors.

But the two pictures could not make such a loss. The prime minister's disinformation campaign has an impact.

The Pirate Party originally filmed mainly on the Internet. We haven't lost the core. Twenty-year-olds now go to the pirate party with completely different equipment than we had twelve years ago. And we don't treat them like politicians who didn't want to let us do it when we were young. Ivan Bartoš

Aren't you losing points because you're too cramped, that you're another guy in a jacket who's up to your ears in politics?

The Pirate Party originally filmed mainly on the Internet. We haven't lost the core. Twenty-year-olds now go to the pirate party with completely different equipment than we had twelve years ago. And we don't treat them like politicians who didn't want to let us do it when we were young.

But it's also a mystery that you didn't reach more voters during the pandemic government. Didn't you waste the situation?

I believe it will be successful and we will give the 25 percent.

Will that be enough to win?

We also did not win anywhere in the regional elections and we are in the lead of nine regions.

Back to the question of why the covid didn't score points.

When YES was 22 percent, I'd rather see them at 30 percent and without 30,000 dead. We were constructive all the time and we didn't throw sticks at the government's feet. Last spring, we suggested how the government should work for nursing and compensation workers. It took three months for the Ministry of Finance to come and enforce the same proposal.

We also presented a plan for 30,000 tests a day and how to carry it out. But the government said there was no need. In the same way, we wanted to solve 27 resolutions of the House for the Prime Minister, but he wanted to solve the gardening law.

We offered him a hand that the government was just digging into. I called the Prime Minister a culprit for starting his media massage on a topic where he has 30,000 dead, at least half of which are unnecessarily. His words about "best in covid" are a mockery, even against the work of paramedics, firefighters, etc. The prime minister lost it and with him a lot of people and companies.

But when we recall the winter and spring struggles for a state of emergency, it didn't look very supportive from the opposition.

The government abused the state of emergency and lied about it, claiming that it could not deploy soldiers and police without it. Jakub Michálek prepared a functional version of the pandemic law. However, the government came up with its own law, and the day before the emergency vote, we asked Minister of Health Blatný if a pandemic law was enough for the government to manage the pandemic, he said clearly that he did.

But you yourself acknowledge that the pandemic law is poorly written, but at the same time you cling to it being fulfilled to the letter. How to understand it?

I don't understand the question. We need to approve better compensation in the pandemic law than we do now. And in the future government, we must pass a compensatory law and take into account that the companies, as confirmed by the Supreme Administrative Court, have been wrongly restricted. We have to take into account the average sales in the given period.

When the state has a monopoly on repression against citizens, the basic requirement is that it act in accordance with the law. If we resign ourselves, we do not have democracy. The resorts and the government were not even able to declare measures in accordance with the law. Ivan Bartoš

Okay, but the pandemic law may not allow for comprehensive measures…

Because it was nonsense. The government failed to provide adequate tracing, failed to protect at-risk groups, and poor pandemic management led to community spread. The nationwide lockdown and closed schools were due to government negligence.

Parameters that are much better than in the supermarket could be designed for retail. But almost a hundred thousand Ichars ended, 16 thousand companies went bankrupt. And when I see the rising numbers now knowing that around 400,000 people aged 60+ don't even have the first dose of the vaccine, it's sad.

But at one point there was nothing left but a lockdown, while the opposition seemed to prioritize the rights of individuals and the legal system over the protection of lives.

You will surely agree that when the state has a monopoly on the repression of citizens, the basic requirement is that it act in accordance with the law. If we resign ourselves, we do not have democracy. Resorts and the government have not even been able to declare measures in accordance with the law.

We do not want to raise taxes or take the rich, the Pirates and the STANParliamentary elections promise

Retail never had to be closed, the risk was never proven there. We have been constructive and consistent throughout. We relied on experts like Mr. Kulveit or Mr. Hel, we worked with people from MeSES.

The goal of resolving a pandemic is to make the city uncomfortable for the virus, and vice versa as pleasant as possible for the people. And that did not work out in the race of Mr. Babiš, who sacrificed people's lives due to the regional elections.

It is your healthcare expert Dostál that sets himself apart from MeSES.

He quarrels with them on Twitter, sometimes a little soot. I do not agree with some of his statements, but it was he who dealt with the legal aspects during the pandemic all the time. In fact, it was the pirates who were rightly found to be right.

However, it is possible that the Supreme Administrative Court will still revoke its findings. One of the senates does not like, for example, the fact that measures cannot be taken against the uninfected, which complicates prevention.

If you have an illness in a locality, against which we are normally vaccinated, the regional hygienists work normally, the operations are closed on the spot, people are tested.

It is said from the Mayors that you are more of a ball at their feet, that people would choose them, but because of you they do not want to.

The Prime Minister's massive attack and disinformation scene on the pirates also made people in their villages uncertain. They hear from them "what neo-Marxists are", which is total nonsense. We are trying to calm down both our member bases with STAN Chairman Vítek Rakušan. The coalition works within the framework of human relations and friendship, and we cover our backs with Vítek.

Ivan Bartoš

Pirates now have 11 percent support and STAN seven, which is four years ago. Didn't you recalculate?

Cooperation in itself is lossless, but an attack on us has an effect. But the work in the campaign also includes the fact that, for example, our seniors are revealing false news, we react very quickly as soon as the attack occurs.

What reactions do you actually encounter in the Ústí nad Labem region, where you are running against Andrei Babiš?

I move there a lot and I have not personally encountered swearing. Real encounters with people are quite different from what may seem in the context of heated debates on social networks. People on the streets ask about specific problems that concern them, and we discuss their solutions.

Wouldn't it be easier without dreadlocks?

In everyday dealings, both in politics and with people in real life, I don't see that it would bother anyone. My dreadlocks are mainly dealt with by the media.

When you refuse to cooperate with ANO, SPD and KSČM, it also means that you allow their joint government.

The state was stolen from us, Mr. Babiš acts as a tapeworm. Already in the leadership of the Ministry of Finance, he abused his position to liquidate the competition. Lots of companies have ended. Entrepreneurs say the era of free enterprise is over.

Vondráček did not rule out post-election cooperation with the SPDParliamentary elections

The government with YES is unthinkable because the people installed in the management of the ministries are digging for it, the authorities of this country are not working. It has penetrated deep into the system. And when we see the Minister of Justice, with the help of the President, bullying the Attorney General, it is clear that certainly not with YES. And we excluded the SPD and the communists in terms of cooperation and support.

Is their government not such a threat to the Czech Republic?

I see it as a big threat, but the tool is elections. There is a black scenario of the organization of the Czech Republic, huge debt and restrictions on services and leaving the EU.

So you let YES rule with the SPD and the KSČM?

Just as you tried to incorporate me in previous questions into the fact that pirates ruled the country during the pandemic, so I reject this game of greater responsibility. We have rules, strategies and commitments to voters. We will do our job either in government or in opposition.

In four years, we have pushed through a lot of things from the treaty register to digital constitutions to the nomination law. I believe in the good of society and that the democratic opposition will have a majority.

If YES were led by Minister Havlíček or Minister Schiller, wouldn't it happen to you?

These are the people who cover Mr. Babiš's business. The republic is bleeding here, and Agrofert has wiped out six billion in bank debt.

Will you reach an agreement with the Spolko coalition (ODS, KDU-ČSL, TOP 09)?

We worked well together at the time of the covid and agreed on most of the proposals. I just do not understand how the allegedly budget-responsible ODS, just to break the promise to abolish the super-gross wage, took this step in times of crisis. However, I assume that negotiations will take place immediately after the elections between our coalitions.

Do you count on marriage for all?

Before the election, parties that perceive themselves as conservative are against it, but individual deputies do not have such a big personal problem with it. If we talk about the government, it will get on the table and we will support it.

How do you view Petr Fiala as a future partner?

I dealt with a lot of things in the House with Mr Fiala, and the cooperation with him was good. I see in his person the reliability and a lot of qualities that I miss in the ODS as a whole or in some of their people from municipal or regional politics.

Will you also agree on a tax system?

We do not want to increase taxes. We have introduced an ambitious investment package that includes both European money and private investment, and we will do everything we can to ensure that taxes do not have to be reached.

Jurečka: Our partners must not approve marriages for gays and lesbians, otherwise the government will fall with us

Otherwise, we have identified areas there, such as a digital tax or higher taxation on mining. And the proposed budget also needs unjustified expenditure. We have to look at that too.

Will pensions grow?

We have made a commitment that by 2025 the average income should increase to 19,000 per month. When you start the economy with accelerated depreciation for innovation, for example, if you set up the system well, GDP will increase by one percent, which is about 100 billion more. We have more proposals for starting the economy.

Does the one-thousandth of Agrofert subsidies pay?

The Prime Minister in a conflict of interest unjustifiably receives subsidies in the tens of billions, so why not say that there is money from national sources. Let Agrofert return unduly drawn subsidies and won contracts.

What would be the cooperation with President Zeman?

Mr. President is the highest constitutional figure, but the country's policy, foreign policy, budget is decided by parliament. I do not agree with his policy, but I talk to him, for example, twice a year about specific things. Sometimes it is good to have the support of the President for negotiations with the Prime Minister.

After the election, the president can mix a lot with the cards. However, I would like the government to be established quickly, also because the EU presidency awaits us and the Czech Republic cannot enter into this with the government without confidence or in a state of budget provisional. And even those force steps towards the Castle are in play. Ivan Bartoš

Would you be in favor of removing Zeman from office?

Many documents, whether it is a motion for a constitutional action or a motion for dismissal, have never seen the light of day. In the end, they would not pass the legal test either.

If there were any practices that would endanger the republic in the international context, it is important to consider this and work on preparing such a proposal.
