“One -time in two days was taken almost fifty honey samples from Czech beekeepers.In any of them, the occurrence of antimicrobial substances has not been shown.At the same time, raw materials for honey production from other countries were also examined, ”said SVA spokesman Petr Pejchal.

The same antibiotics then found the inspectors in honey from Ukraine.In total, they secured 63 tons of honey, which they returned to Ukraine.As in the entire European Union, antibiotics cannot be used in Ukraine in the treatment of bees.One of the unconfirmed versions is that the defective honey was imported from China, for example.Originally there was a suspicion that honey in čelpo products came from the Asian country.

According to Pejchal, the methods of the Ukrainian authorities are not as sensitive as in the Czech Republic.This may be the reason why the Ukrainians did not reveal antibiotics and without worrying to send the EU to the EU market.“The cause of the problem is the diagnostic methods for the detection of antibiotics residues that are more sensitive in the Czech Republic than in Ukraine.Honey examined in Ukraine could seem to meet the limits, but with more sensitive methods it turned out that it contains residues of undesirable substances, ”Pejchal explained.

Following the case, Ukraine has already tightened the regulations for the detection of unauthorized substances in honey.
