Meteorologists have already revealed what kind of November awaits us. Temperatures will drop to 10 degrees, freezing at night. Fogs and rain with snow will appear. In the second half of the month, it will snow even in central locations. And don't forget that we will move the time back an hour on Sunday night. Because of this, the police appeal to pedestrians in particular to use reflective elements more.

Morning fogs and early darkness are a combination that is especially dangerous for pedestrians. Therefore, the police officers go out into the streets and remind them that it is important to be seen. Dana Burešová, preventive officer of the Liberec police.

And it's not just pedestrians who are missing. There was also a situation when the driver of the car passed the patrol without his lights on. Another sinner appeared on a scooter. He was missing a white reflector.

Police officers have a good reason for preventive action. From January to September of this year alone, nearly 100 pedestrians were injured in collisions with cars in the Liberec region. And these days are no different. In Českolipska, a car hit a pedestrian without reflective elements. Just looking at the car suggested how hard the collision was.

In addition, at night time will move back an hour and it will get dark earlier.

The long-term forecast for November heralds the arrival of winter. It snows in the mountains, then in the cities. "In the second decade of November, we already expect snowflakes from medium altitudes. Temperatures will be below 10 degrees and there will also be frosty mornings," said meteorologist Dagmar Honsová. From November, winter equipment will be mandatory for cars. Tire repair shops go regardless of whether it's a holiday or not. For example, in Jablonec on Saturday, dozens of mechanics changed cars. "It's always the worst around November 1st. Those who order today should count 14 days," warned the owner of the tire service Miroslav Hnídek.
