An ideal place for a holiday with children? City. Enjoy Berlin with the Forbes children<

In the large garden in the shade of large trees, where you escape the hustle and bustle of the big city and you do not have to watch every step of the children, buy them a big pretzel and a local red or green beer with Berliner Weisse juice.

From here, it is just a short walk to the Berlin Wall Memorial on Bernauer Strasse and well worth a visit.

2) But if you do not want to tick off your tourist duties and the children are already bored, you will find a playground on every corner. And I'm not exaggerating.

One of the most relaxed, newest and longest in the city, from where you will have a great view of the Berlin TV tower, is in the Mauerpark park. In a place where there was no one's zone that separated the West from the East.

The Mauerpark, where crowds of people with barbecues and picnic facilities go in fine weather, has been undergoing renovations in recent years.

3) You won't find this tip in the guides (but for me and my children it's the biggest hit!): Take a walk in the Prenzlauer Berg district and take it to Dunckerstrasse, for example. Along the way you will meet a million places to eat well (try Suicide Sue and their famous breakfast).

And when you get to the bridge over the railway tracks, stop, lean on the railing or sit straight and just watch the noisy S-Bahn trains passing by. Waving is allowed, the reward is the loud trumpeting of the drivers.

4) Take the metro alias U-Bahn and go to the brand new Museuminsel station. It's only been open for a month and yes, I'm sending you to a subway station.

The blue ceiling with lights resembling stars stands out. This is proof that even public transport can have magic.

When you get out, go straight to the most discussed building in Berlin. It is called the Humboldtforum, it stands on the site of the East German Palace of the Republic and the seat of the Prussian kings and German emperors. Now there is an extensive building that combines modern elements with a replica of the original castle. Judge for yourself what you say.

It is necessary to order the exhibitions that take place indoors in advance, but you can also just go to the yard and have coffee there in the shade and in peace. In the meantime, children can get tired of running around the yard.

5) If you dare to visit the museum with your descendants, there are a lot of them in Berlin and they often think of children in them. But brand new is the ANOHA museum, specially focused on children, which was established as an offshoot of the famous Jewish Museum.

It has only been open since the end of June and tells the story of Noah's Ark, rather than a museum reminiscent of a large playground. Seven meters high ark with a diameter of 28 meters. Just be careful, even here you need to book an appointment in advance.
