We also put your children's grandchildren in debt, stole everything we could, and believe me, everything was in your interest!<

The outgoing government boasted and evaluated its actions at the last briefing. It has only one flaw, the rest of us probably lived in a different reality, or Babiš and Schilerová think we've fallen on our heads. . . but what to think of a nation that willingly bent its back, put on the designated number of masks, and impatiently squeezed its cap in line on the dot? In two years, they sent the economy of our country to the bottom, they falsified everything that was published, they profited from everything that they imposed on a frightened nation and even our children's grandchildren are in debt! That's a bill worth running. And even with a hippopotamus skin, he speaks of an open heart and a sincere concern for the welfare of the citizenry. Did we really give them evidence of our uncritical short memory and ease of manipulation during the election?

What about the Free Block? The country was not run by national managers, but by the henchmen of the Brussels bureaucracy. Czexit is an unavoidable condition of remedy. The book by Jana Bobošíková and Hana Lipovská, which we read in the Midgard studio, evaluates the actions of the government and the "experts" chosen by the government as advisers in more detail: https://volnyblok.cz/aby-bylo-jasno-aneb-vrati-se-marx -a-lenin/

The head of the ANO movement, Andrej Babiš, spoke at a press conference on Friday morning for the last time as prime minister. After eight years, he is leaving the Straka Academy, where he served as Minister of Finance for four years and as Prime Minister for another four years. On Friday afternoon, the cabinet of Petr Fiala (ODS) will take over the government. Babiš said goodbye in style and together with ANO Finance Minister Alena Schillerová described the situation the Czech Republic is in today.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. As we promised, our government worked until the last moment, when a new one takes office," began Babiš. "I came back, we landed at 3 in the morning, from Brussels, where we fought at the European Council and I think it's clear, the President of the European Commission promised repeatedly into the microphone that she would confirm that nuclear and gas are low-emission energy sources. And I will inform the next prime minister about it, because it was not easy. I want to thank all the people who elected us to our positions. I think we did our best to meet their expectations," said Babiš, adding that it was not easy. "Because we only had two years without covid and we were fighting covid for the next two years," he added.

"Many thanks to all citizens who supported us. History will evaluate what our government was like," said Babiš.

He personally believes that the Czech Republic is doing well.

"During our government, we reduced taxes by 436 billion, we increased pensions. This week alone, we opened 46 kilometers of highways. On our part, the next government is ready to open another 200 kilometers of highways and another 200 kilometers of bypasses," the outgoing prime minister also said.

He also emphasized that healthcare has always been a priority for his government, and especially during covid.

"During our government, it increased by 228 billion. Health care has never had so much money. I think that the future government should continue our projects. I think that Prague deserves a new oncology center. I think our healthcare is great. And we brought in up to 1100 billion in subsidies. Of that, 50 billion goes to the health sector, so here we have created a great space for the next government to take advantage of that.”

He also promised to have a book prepared that would summarize everything the outgoing ANO government had arranged.

A new canteen and other things

He also rejected criticism that his government had neglected the preparation of the Czech presidency in the EU, which will take place in the second half of the year. According to Babiš, the government has prepared a number of new or renovated premises that will be able to be used for the presidency.

“A new canteen and other things. Of course, we have a great interest in the Czech Republic surviving from July 1, 2022. And we are convinced that the presidency should remain outside of political topics and we must unite here, just as we united against covid in the end," emphasized Babiš.

He would personally welcome it if Emmanuel Macron remained president in France after the elections, in whom Babiš sees a European leader who must move the entire EU forward.

"We have nothing to be ashamed of, our country is prospering and we live in a time when the Czech Republic is doing well. So we wish the new government to continue those projects that are successful. And we are moving into a new role, and that is the role of the opposition," concluded Babiš.

This is the new style of politics, Schiller was angry what she could

“There was covid. There was the greatest crisis in the history of our country. Not only in modern times, but in history in general," emphasized Schillerová.

She also clearly said that the total indebtedness of the Czech Republic in relation to GDP is lower than it was before Andrej Babiš took office at the Ministry of Finance.

She also emphasized that the outgoing government was cutting taxes.

"We reduced taxes by 510 billion and put 68 billion into the economy. You can find everything on the website of the Ministry of Finance and also on my social networks," said Schillerová. According to her, it was possible to improve the debt situation of the entire country. "When the CNB was releasing balloons that it would raise interest rates, I logically ordered to borrow in advance, and now we are logically making money from it," Schillerová boasted.

It was also explained that black souls have already been cut off in the state administration, and if the future government also wants to reduce the number of civil servants, there will already be a big problem, according to Schillerová. "I point out that these are policemen, firemen and teachers. So, if the future government decides to make cuts in these places, it will shoot itself in the foot," thundered Schillerová.

She also spoke a few words about the energy crisis and complained that the proposal to reduce VAT on energy for next year was not passed. “The new coalition has a comfortable 108 in the House and swept our proposal away. This is a new style of politics - we don't even debate anymore," Schillerová shook her head.

Then she asked the future government to reduce VAT on energy to zero for at least two months in the new year. "We will definitely not give up and will consistently control the government from the opposition."

She also stated that even the government of Andrej Babiš was not without mistakes, but everything she did, she did for the people, according to Schiller.

"We were in a situation in which no one had ever been before us and we did everything with an open heart and in an effort to help people," Schillerová emphasized at the end.
